Distribution System Improvement Program

A multi-year, multi-phase capital program modernizing water distribution infrastructure across Maury County.
Existing booster pump station equipment with a split-case centrifugal pump, electric motor, and blue gate valves, part of Columbia Power & Water Systems' Distribution System Improvement Program.

IDG is providing planning, design, program and construction management services for CPWS’s Distribution System Improvement Program (DSIP), a multi-year, multi-phase capital program being delivered via a Construction Manager at Risk project delivery method.  The DSIP consists of more than 15 distribution system projects across multiple pressure zones in Maury County.  These projects were identified in CPWS’s 2017 Distribution System Master Plan and the 2023 Master Plan Update.

Phase I Projects include:

  • 1,850 gpm Bear Creek Pike Booster Pump Station
  • 14,000 LF of 12″ Old Highway 99 Watermain
  • 1.5 MG Nicholson Schoolhouse Road Tank
  • 1,500 gpm Southside Booster Pump Station
  • 9,000 LF of 16″ Southside Transmission Main
  • 1.5 MG Southside Elevated Tank
  • 1,500 gpm Cayce Booster Pump Station
  • 380 gpm Hampshire Booster Pump Station
  • 25,000 LF of 8″ Hampshire Pike Watermain
