New Piney Pump Station

A new regional sewer pump station expanding capacity and resolving a documented NPDES compliance issue for a growing service area in Dickson County.
Interior of the New Piney Pump Station showing self-priming sewer pumps, motor control panels, piping, and gate valves at Water Authority of Dickson County's regional lift station.

IDG provided planning, design, bidding and construction administration services for the new Piney Pump Station, a regional sewer pump station consolidating two aging lift stations (Piney and Mt. Sinai, both built in the 1950s–1970s) into a single, modern facility. Together these stations serve approximately one-third of WADC’s entire sewer service area. The new station was sized for approximately 2,600 gpm, with three duty/standby pumps and a diesel auxiliary pump and includes approximately 3,500 LF of new 18-inch gravity sewer to redirect flows. The project also addresses a documented NPDES permit compliance issue requiring correction of chronic SSO events upstream of the Mt. Sinai station, which was restricting new connections in a growth area.
